Urban and architectural study
Urban and architectural competition in 2 phases for the reconversion of the coalmine-site of Winterslag, with the functional and spatial incorporation of the buildings to be conserved. The project proposed instead of a determined project, an urban strategy for a sequel of the historical evolution of the site, and a transformation into an urban centre. Main issues were the creation of a new "façade" to the neighborhood, and the reconnection of the different components with the reinforcement of the character of each existing part.
