The project is part of the program for the revitalisation of the touristic and cultural heritage of the Guadeloupe archipelago. The meteorological station, fallen in dis- use following the passage of the Hugo-hurricane in 1989 will be renovated to house an interpretation center of environmental issues, and new energies. Since the original building (1930), built with salted water and gradually disintegrating, the project consists of several ready-made containers, witht he exhibition speces, installed inside the existing building. The containders will subsist, while the building around will disappear over the nxt decades and turn into a ruin. The containders are also calculated on a ventual new hurricane passing.
